Hardgel nails in Amsterdam
Hardgel is the most hard-wearing treatment at Avalon Nailz — the one to book if sets normally don't survive your week. Applied by Simone in the studio in Amsterdam-Centrum.
Hardgel cures to a much harder finish than soft gel or BIAB. It holds an apex and a sharp edge, which is what makes it the right pick for strong shapes and for hands that take a beating at work.
Because it's a harder product it is filed off rather than soaked off, and it's shaped in the appointment — so you choose the silhouette as well as the design.
All the nail-art tiers apply here too: solid colour, french tip, simple, medium, extreme, or full freestyle.
- The most durable option on the price list
- Holds sharp shapes and a defined apex
- Filed back rather than soaked off
- Same nail-art tiers as every other treatment

Questions
What does a hardgel set cost in Amsterdam at Avalon Nailz?
Hardgel at Avalon Nailz starts at €45. A gel or french tip is €50, simple nail art €50, medium nail art €55, and extreme nail art or freestyle €60.
Is hardgel stronger than BIAB?
Yes. Hardgel cures harder and holds shape better, which makes it more resistant to chipping. BIAB is more flexible and is meant as a protective overlay on the natural nail rather than a hard-wearing build.
How is hardgel removed?
It's filed back in the studio rather than soaked off, because the cured product does not dissolve in acetone the way soft gel does.
